The New Indian Express has appointed Vignesh Kumar K as vice-president, marketing. He replaces V Natarajan.

Prior to this, he was GM - Operations at Tata Sky Ltd for three years. In his new role, he will be based in Chennai and will be reporting to Manoj Kumar Sonthalia, Chairman and Managing Director, The New Indian Express Group.

Kumar, who will be based in Chennai, will report to Manoj Kumar Sonthalia, chairman and managing director, The New Indian Express Group.

During his 21-year-long career, Kumar worked extensively with telecom brands such as Reliance Communications, Airtel and BPL Mobile. Starting his career as a sales executive with Nelco (National Radio and Electronics, he also served at Shaw Wallace Group, Mobilink Paging Services and Reliance communications.

Commenting on his new role, Kumar said, his objective is to consolidate the position of New Indian Express in the South and maximise revenues by building the readership numbers .
