Beryl Cook to bid adieu from News Corp as chief HR officer

News Corp, the media conglomerate controlled by Rupert Murdoch, has recently announced that its chief human resources officer, Beryl Cook, is stepping down at the end of the month. 

Cook will move to Asia to be closer to her family and will cap a new role as a human resources strategic adviser.

Commenting on her decision, Rupert Murdoch, Chairman and CEO of News Corporation said that, he understand her decision to leave New York and was delighted that she has agreed to continue playing an important role within the company.

Jeff Mook, News Corp’s senior vice president of global compensation, will take her position when she leaves the organization on  Nov. 30.

Mook, 50, joined the company in March 2010 after being a consultant and having human resources leadership roles at ACNielsen, Reader's Digest, DuPont and The Interpublic Group.
