Fox Broadcasting Co. has roped in David Wertheimer as President, digital.

In the new role he will report to Kevin Reilly, Fox's president of entertainment and oversee the network’s strategy, operations and ventures in digital entertainment and emerging media platforms, including online viewing, Web sites, apps, games, digital network incubation and audience engagement through social networks. He will work with Fox Networks Group and News Corp. top executives in building new digital platforms and sharing best practices.

Prior to this role, he was heading as president of Paramount Digital Entertainment and, most recently, CEO of the Entertainment Technology Center at USC. Along with this he has also worked for Steve Jobs at NeXT while capping the roles of sales and marketing.
