BSNL has finally found a suitable head for itself. Gopal Das is all set to take the position of Chairman and Managing Director of the largest state run telecom company BSNL. He will replace Kuldeep Goyal, who is retiring from the position on 31^st July.

Presently serving as the director (HRD) in BSNL, Gopal Das was the obvious and undisputed choice for the designation. The Communication Ministry approved his file considering his eligibility for the position of high repute and responsibility.

Gopal Das is an ITS official of 1975 batch and has been a member of the Special Study Group of ITU for Mobile Network.

Now with the new responsibility, Gopal Das will step in along with high expectations of elevating BSNL as a company. BSNL is facing hard times in terms of financial status, corruption and declining market share at the hands of private telecom players.
