The Editor-in-chief for the English Business News channels BlombergUTV, Govindraj Ethiraj has stepped down from his position at the organisation. With this departure Ethiraj moves forth to join the team for Government of India’s Special Project of UIDAI, headed by former Infosys Chief Nandan Nilekani.

Ethiraj was part of the founding team of BloombergUTV, erstwhile UTVi News, and has played a significant role all through these years in establishing it as a leading brand in the English Business news genre.

With over 18 years of experience in Business News and current affairs, Ethiraj is a known name in business journalism. Prior to his current appointment, Ethiraj was Editor (New Media) at English daily publication Business Standard. He has also worked with CNBC-TV18, Economic Times, Business World and Business India.

Besides spearheading the Editorial operations, Ethiraj also anchors the primetime news & analysis show - India Business Day - weeknights at 9p at BloombergUTV. He also hosts a weekend show - Common Maximum Programme - where he interviews senior business leaders to get their views on where India is headed.

His term with Bloomberg UTV will conclude by the end of September 2010 facilitating a smooth transition while working with the business leadership team at Bloomberg UTV.
