Anoop Varma has been appointed as the Director of Sales for NDS India operations. NDS is the leading provider of technology solutions for digital pay-TV industry. Joining in the new capacity, Varma would be reporting to Alan Dishington, General Manager NDS India and will be based in Gurgaon.

As his mandate Varma will oversee all business development, sales and pre-sales activities in India. Simultaneously he will be responsible for identifying and developing new business opportunities for NDS’ end-to-end pay-TV solutions in cable, satellite (DTH), IPTV and mobile TV markets.

Operations of NDS in the subcontinent region are supported by over 1400 employees in country and R&D facility set up by the Company in Bangalore.

Prior to joining NDS India, Varma was with Viaccess for around two years spearheading their business development activities and marketing to pay-TV operators in South East Asia and the Middle East.

Besides, Varma has also worked in the broadcast media industry in various roles across the APAC region. He worked for Star News as Vice President, Content Distribution & Corporate Affairs; Aaj Tak News as Senior Manager for five years; and four years as Sales Manager with STAR TV Distribution & Marketing.
