Amit Adarkar joins Nielsen as VP for its BASES division

Amit Adarkar has been roped by The Nielsen Company to be the new Vice President of Nielsen BASES. In this capacity, Adarkar will be based out of Mumbai, India and will report to Prasun Basu, Vice President, Nielsen BASES, South Asia and Middle East & Africa and Executive Director, Consumer Research, South Asia, The Nielsen Company.
Adarkar will provide leadership to the Nielsen BASES India and South Africa businesses and will play an important regional role for Unilever, managing large Unilever hubs in Mumbai and Johannesburg.
Having around 17 years of rich and varied experience in research, Adarkar has been with FMCG, Services and High-end Manufacturing industries. Most recently he was Managing Director for Market Probe’s India & Middle East operations, Mumbai branch head for Synovate, and played regional Client Service Lead roles for Unilever and Coke. He begun his career with IMRB and happens to be one of Nielsen’s experienced hands with previous stints in both ORG-MARG and ACNielsen. |
